Mainly the bank PO/Clerk exams consists of five sections namely Quantitative aptitude, Reasoning, English, General awareness and computer awareness. In SBI and its associate bank’s examinations marketing aptitude questions will also be asked. The detailed syllabus is as follows.

Quantitative aptitude

          Basic mathematics, Ratio and Proportion, Average, Percentage, Partnership, Ages, Time & distance, Problems on train, Problems on Stream, Time & work, Mensuration ,Permutation & Combinations, Probability, Graphs, Quadratic equations, Profit & Loss, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Data Sufficiency.

Reasoning

          Direction test, Blood relations, Inequality, Syllogism, Puzzles, IP/OP problems, Non Verbal reasoning, Analytical decision making, Coding & decoding, Alphabet test, Analogy test, Ordering test, Arguments, Assumptions, Course of action, Data sufficiency, Cause-effect problem.

General English

          In all the bank exams, this section contains question from comprehension, vocabulary and error correction. Reading good English news papers and solving previous examination question papers will only help you to crack this section because of absence of grammar related questions.Also a very strong command over vocabulary is a must to clear this section

General Awareness

          Following the news of last six months will help you to pass this section. Also understand the basics of economics and banking.

Computer Awareness

          Basics of computer will be asked in this section. A strong base in the fundamentals of computers is essential to score maximum mark from this section.
